Prices are cheap and food is good for the price you pay. The owners are very friendly and the place is overall very cozy. Would recommend coming here for a cheap meal. The Saturday breakfast special is insanely cheap and definitely worth it.

I've been driving by this place for about 17 years. Always saying to myself I will drop in one day to give this place a try. Well guess what! Today's the day! It happened! Me and a coworker got delayed for work this Saturday morning and wanted something cheap to eat and by the way fast food shouldn't be considered cheap anymore. You are seriously paying some bucks for the convenience. When McDonald's is charging you close to 10 dollars for a meal that leaves a very sour taste in your mouth was it actually worth the "convenience"? So back to Golden Coin. We both ordered a "breakfast special" ( one of the few selections of breakfast specials that they have on the wall ) This special came with 3 sausage 2 eggs, hashbrowns and toast for drumroll please... $4.50.... Where else are you gonna get a breakfast no bells and whistles for that price? ( Besides @ Bons off Broadway) The food. Simple basic and delicious. What else would you want? Some parsley to look pretty with your eggs that isn't even gonna be going into your mouth. A slice of fruit for garnish that you might be allergic too? Save it! Eggs that taste like eggs, hashbrowns and toast that taste like hashbrowns and toast. If you've read my reviews before you're aware that I could careless about the decor or the furniture. ( Your just gonna pay for it in your meal and I really don't care) give me a stool on the sidewalk like in Vietnam made of plastic with the plastic kids table for all I care. If the food is good I will be there. Where ever I go it will be for the food vs the price. So Golden Coin may not be modern and fancy as all you decor eater's out there. But the simple bottom line is. Price vs Portion wise Good basic edible food for a good basic edible price TaDa!

Be prepared to step into the 80s with Formica tabletops, a variety of mix-and-match chairs, old well used communal cutlery and specials hanging on paper tacked to the walls.
Limited lunch menu (but adequate)
The service is friendly and the food was good with super cheap prices.
I ordered the clubhouse on brown with french fries - $7.25.
Had tapwater.
Lots of free parking.
The café is located in a commercial complex of offices and warehouses.
The owners have been here for 17 years and the café originally opened in 1990.
If you can get past the old dated well used decor and you simply want an inexpensive but OK tasting lunch then this would be a place you should check out. -

Typical 80s-90s pop/mom shop.
I arrived early and waited for breakfast opening at 7am. They arrived on time and promptly took my order for $5.00 wonton soup + noddles.. old school analog cashier machine. Everything is hand written, coffee is self made. If you need a place to sit, with cheap food, and need quietness, there will be other retired 50-60 yo doing the same. Good value and good location.
